The Pear Tree Cottage : A cosy, amid beautiful gardens, comfortable and affordable cottage located in Storms River Village, fynbos and indigenous plants. Our rates include accommodation and other amenities, however, if you wish for an additional fee you could have a delicious English Breakfast with local produce. We offer good quality linen to ensure a good sleep. It's in the Garden Route and your definite stop to relax either on the way to Cape Town or Port Elizabeth. It is ideal for couples, bungee jumping, such as canopy tours, or small families as we offer a double bed and a sofa bed. Our cottage is situated close to different attractions in the area, hiking and mountain biking trails and the famous Tsitsikamma National Park.

The Pear Tree Cottage is ideally located north facing the Storms River Peak. Kick off the shoes, sit back and enjoy the views and the sound of trees rustling in the breeze. Be serenaded by four different types of frogs who are the residents in our pond. Perfect honeymoon spot, getaway with that special person or simply to get out of the routine of city life. Come and meet Carmen and Robbie your hosts, and the new addition to the family, our son George. For Nature lovers, Storms River Village and its surroundings offer abundant birdlife and indigenous flora. For the adventurous, treetop canopy tours, bungee jumping, black water tubing, hiking trails and so much more. For the less energetic, just relax on our veranda, enjoy a good book and sip some wine. You can experience the thrill for yourself in one of four ways, designed to suit anyones needs. Stormsriver Adventures is a professional adventure and activity company based in the heart of the Tsitsikamma Forest. Adventure activities take place from the adventure centre on the scenic little village of Stormsriver. Nature’s Valley is a small village situated at the mouth of the Groot River at the bottom of the Groot River pass alongside the Groot River estuary and forms part of the Tsitsikamma De Vasselot nature reserves. Monkeyland is the world’s first free roaming multi-specie primate sanctuary. Monkeyland has as one of its aims, to create awareness about the plight of primates and to show that with a greater understanding of our primate cousins, that we can all live in harmony. The unique two hectare dome (the World’s largest) spans over a gorge of indigenous forest. The sanctuary has its own mysterious ruin, which incorporates a walk-behind waterfall. This unique trail has been made possible by the formation of a partnership between the Tsitsikamma National Park and two private sector partners, namely Forest Ferns and Misty Mountain Reserve. Rocky shores, where temperate high forest and fynbos roll down to the sea in an unspoilt verdant carpet, where ancient rivers carve their paths to the ocean down rocky ravines.
